Dispute Resolution

Disputes are for situations where normal trade flow breaks down. The goal is not to punish quickly, but to preserve escrow, collect evidence, and make a decision from the trade record.

CoinRep Standard

Clear rules before action

When to open

Open a dispute if payment was sent but not released, payment cannot be confirmed, details are wrong, escrow status is unclear, or a party becomes unresponsive.

Evidence quality

Strong evidence includes payment receipts, bank confirmations, transaction IDs, screenshots with timestamps, wallet hashes, and a written timeline.

What admins review

Admins review chat history, offer details, payment methods, uploaded proof, escrow state, profile history, and prior dispute behavior.

During a dispute

Do not continue private negotiation outside CoinRep. Keep responses clear, factual, and tied to verifiable payment or escrow information.

Possible outcomes

A dispute can be resolved in favor of buyer, seller, split settlement, cancellation, refund, or a request for more evidence.

False claims

Fake receipts, edited screenshots, or pressure tactics can lead to account restrictions and vendor removal.
